Position Overview




The role of a Payroll Trainee supports the wider Payroll Bureau by delivering comprehensive payrolls to Fourth customers. Working as part of a team, weekly and monthly payrolls will be processes accurately and on time. To be the first point of contact for payroll queries. This role provides a great career development opportunity for someone who would like to develop to become a Payroll Specialist or to move internally within our Fourth departments.

Primary Responsibilities





Administer all payrolls within a set portfolio of customers, ensuring all employees are paid accurately, on time to achieve Bureau targets with the support of Payroll Trainers and the wider Bureau Build and maintain strong customer relationships and provide customer service according to the Bureau service definition and Service Level Agreement Ensure all data is received from the customer on time and all output is delivered to the customer in line with metrics and targets Complete all aspects of payroll reconciliation including Ensure all payrolls balance at all times Respond to customer telephone or email queries and take appropriate action Highlight and escalate/respond to any issue which may affect the smooth running of customer payrolls Ensure the customer payroll procedures manual is kept up to date with current processes Send annual timetable communication regarding Easter, Christmas and start of year pay dates Communicate quarterly surveys to customers

Key Skills and Competencies





Strong verbal and written communication 2 years in an office environment Educated to GCSE Level including Math's and English
