Qualifications:

PBS Level 4 (BTEC) or equivalent. A degree in Psychology, ABA, Nursing, OT, SLT or similar experience. Successful candidates will have a strong understanding of PBS or ABA, and experience of leading a team within the care sector. You will also need to understand the care sector regulatory framework, service delivery with excellent working knowledge of the essential standards and statutory inspections in social care. You will play a key role in staff development, service delivery, and maintaining care standards.

Full job description

As PBS Level 5, you will help support a dedicated team of PBS Level 4 practitioners in ensuring that our services deliver exceptional, person-centred care to vulnerable adults. You will support staff to deliver person-centred care, work collaboratively with families and professionals, and demonstrate integrity and commitment to helping individuals live fulfilled, independent lives. Our Level 5 practitioners will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be organised and resilient, to meet service needs. Flexibility and compassion as well as the ability to reflect and be open to feedback are key to this role. This is not a 9-5 role and you will need to meet the needs of the service when required.

Role and Responsibilities

Lead the design and delivery of PBS strategies across the organisation. Provide direct support and crisis intervention when needed. Develop and evaluate individualised PBS plans. Model proactive, person-centred support strategies. Collect and analyse behavioural data to inform interventions. Deliver training and coaching to staff on PBS principles. Lead debriefs and contribute to Serious Incident Reviews. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings. Maintain accurate and professional documentation. Promote the rights, dignity, and independence of the people we support.

Experience

In this role, you'll work directly with individuals and lead the implementation of PBS strategies across our services. You'll also support and supervise PBS Level 4 Practitioners, helping to build a strong, compassionate, and skilled team. Experience supporting individuals with learning disabilities, autism, or mental health needs is essential. PBS Level 5 (BTEC) is desired, or willingness to work towards it. PBM (ABMU) trainer is also desirable but full training can be provided if needed. Experience in delivering training is also desirable and applications are invited from candidates who hold training qualifications.
