The team at Loughshore aim to offer a professional and high standard of care to all our residents. We offer long term and short term care for residents with a Learning Disability or Mental Health, young physically disabled and acquired brain injury.

At Priory Adult Care we offer 24/7 specialist residential care in community settings. Our aim is to deliver an increasing sense of self-management and empowerment that will lead to more independent living.

This role will focus on supporting an individual residing within the service ensuring that Positive Behaviour Support is embedded throughout all support arrangements.

The Team leader/ PBS Practitioner will work closely with the person supported implementing and developing personalised support plans develop their independence and life skills.

The post holder will use their expertise to support predominantly in the following areas:

Practice Leadership and Practice workshops
Staff development
Functional Behaviour Assessment as required
Behaviour Support Planning (BSP)
Incident analysis & debrief

The ideal candidate will:
Hold a formal qualification in: or Positive Behaviour Support i.e. BSc in Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities, MSc Applied Behaviour Analysis, MA or MSc in Autism Studies, PBS Graduate Diploma, PBS BTEC Level 5 (advanced professional Diploma)
Be qualified or willing and able to work towards Instructor Level of PROACT-SCIPr-UK\xc2\xae
Understand legal frameworks relevant to the role, e.g. Mental Capacity Act (2005), DOLS
Demonstrate the ability to complete behaviour assessment tools and write reports relating to behaviour to a high standard

In addition, the candidate will be able to demonstrate:
A history of leading and working as part of a team
A history of direct support experience with people with learning disabilities and/or ASC and behaviours of concern
A history in conducting functional assessment and developing, implementing and evaluating behaviour interventions for individuals
A history of delivery of Positive Behaviour Support training
A history of reducing the use of restrictive practices
