The Role
This is a
hands-on, practical role
where you'll spend most of your time in our workshop -- building PCs, installing software, wiring panels, testing, and configuring the hardware that make our systems work.
You'll also represent us on customer sites from time to time, carrying out preventative maintenance visits and supporting installations.
If you're an engineer who enjoys working with their hands, is happy building panels and PCs, but still wants to keep their site skills sharp, this is ideal.
About 90% workshop-based, with occasional travel.
What You'll Do
Build and test industrial PCs, tablets, and I/O devices
Prepare and configure hardware and software
for system testing
Assemble and wire electrical panels
, terminals, and industrial hardware
Read and interpret technical drawings
, manuals, and wiring diagrams
Create panel drawings using AutoCAD
(training can be provided)
Carry out routine maintenance visits
at customer sites across the UK (approx. 1 visit per month)
Troubleshooting customer system issues,
typically using remote connectivity tools and occasional site visits
Identification and costing of hardware to meet specific requirements
Write up visit reports and communicate with customers
in a professional and friendly way
