About the Practice/Department/Team



Oundle Medical Practice is part of Lakeside Healthcare, and a member practice within Rockingham Forest Primary Care Network (PCN). Based in the quintessential market town on the River Nene, serving a diverse patient population, the surgery has a strong commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care. Our team works collaboratively across disciplines to provide comprehensive primary care services, supported by robust clinical governance and continuous improvement initiatives. Job Introduction



We are seeking an experienced Practice Nurse to join our dedicated team. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and skilled nurse to contribute to the delivery of safe, effective and high-quliaty care within a primary care setting. The successful candidate will work within the NMC Code of Conduct, supporting service development and promoting integrated care pathways for patients.

What you will do



The Practice Nurse will:

Deliver primary health care interventions and treatments in line with clinical protocols. Provide health education and promotion to patients and carers. Undertake clinical duties such as wound care, immunisations, cervical screening, phlebotomy, ECGs, and chronic disease monitoring (e.g., diabetes, asthma, COPD). Work collaboratively with GPs, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care. Maintain accurate patient records and contribute to audits and quality improvement initiatives. Support infection prevention and control, safeguarding, and health & safety standards. Participate in team meetings, training, and professional development activities.

Essential Criteria



Registered Nurse with NMC 1st level registration. Degree in Nursing or equivalent healthcare qualification Recent experience as a Registered Nurse in a primary care setting Evidence of continued professional development Experience of managing/dealing with the public/patients
