Summary

We are seeking a dedicated, fun and entertaining Bus Driver to join our team at Bassenthwaite Lake Station. In this role, you will be responsible for safely transporting our guests on an afternoon tea double decker bus tour around the north lakes. Your contribution will be vital in ensuring and creating happy memories and a unique afternoon tea experience.

Responsibilities

Safely operate the bus according to scheduled routes and timings. Ensure the enjoyment, comfort and safety of passengers during transit. Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking as needed. Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the bus interior. Communicate effectively with the cafe team regarding passenger needs. Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving. Support the Tour Supervisor in their duties and be part of a small, happy team delivering a great experience.

Requirements

Valid bus driving licence for PCVs is required. Proven experience as a bus driver or in a similar role is essential. Strong communication skills and customer service orientation. Some knowledge of basic bus mechanics will be most useful. Good time management skills and reliability. Being fun and entertaining is crucial!

There are two part-time positions available with the prospect of additional hours as the service is launched. This is a new position for a brand new project at the station that is likely to be launched late autumn 2025. This is not your usual run-of-the-mill bus driving position and we are inviting applications from the right, special people!

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: 13.00-15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 12 - 18 per week

Day shift Monday to Friday Weekend availability
Work Location: In person
