Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all traffic regulations. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to work independently in various environments, including warehouse settings.

Duties

Operate delivery vehicles, including vans and flatbed lorries, to transport goods to designated locations. Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with regulations. Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of items during transit. Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation for tracking purposes. Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues. Adhere to all road safety regulations and company policies while driving. Assist in warehouse operations as needed, including inventory management and organisation of goods.

Skills

Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge for basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting. Ability to drive various types of vehicles, including vans and flatbed lorries. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with team members and customers. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time efficiently. A valid driving licence appropriate for the vehicle type is essential.
