launching PE programmes in schools

The Role
We are looking for a dynamic and experienced
PE Lead
to drive the design, launch, and delivery of LaunchPad's new
primary school PE curriculum
. You will shape how PE is delivered across our partner schools, lead by example in the classroom, and play a key role in building and mentoring a team of future PE educators.
This is a unique opportunity to bring creativity and leadership into a role that blends delivery, curriculum development, and team growth.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the development of LaunchPad's PE curriculum
in line with the national curriculum and our fun-first, inclusive ethos.
Deliver outstanding PE lessons
across multiple primary school year groups (Reception - Year 6).
Model excellent teaching practice
and mentor trainee coaches and PE teachers.
Collaborate with the LaunchPad team to design innovative units, lesson plans, and resources.
Recruit, train, and manage a team
of PE teachers and sports coaches.
Build strong relationships with schools, headteachers and PE coordinators.
Support monitoring, reporting, and evaluation of our impact on pupil progress and enjoyment.
Contribute to the future vision and national growth of LaunchPad's in-school PE offer.
What We're Looking For
A qualified PE specialist or teacher (QTS desirable but not essential).
Proven experience delivering high-quality PE in primary schools.
A passion for inclusive, child-led learning through sport.
Strong leadership skills and a desire to grow and manage a team.
Creative thinker who wants to innovate PE delivery in schools.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
