Synergy Education are looking to recruit a PE teacher for Bodmin!!
We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Physical Education Teacher to inspire students to develop healthy lifestyles, teamwork, and physical skills. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to engage students of diverse backgrounds and abilities. This role involves creating an inclusive environment that promotes physical activity, sportsmanship, and personal growth, while integrating educational technology and curriculum standards.
This role is start early February 2026.
Duties
Develop and implement engaging physical education lessons aligned with curriculum standards
Foster a positive learning environment that encourages participation and teamwork among students
Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support individual development
Incorporate tutoring in related subjects such as Math, English, French, or Spanish as needed to enhance overall student learning
Utilize classroom management techniques to maintain discipline and safety during activities
Integrate technology tools such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) for lesson planning and student assessments
Collaborate with colleagues to design inclusive programs for students with disabilities or special education needs
Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and students regarding progress and program updates
Organize extracurricular activities or sports events to promote school spirit and student engagement
Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and other relevant documentation
Requirements
Prior classroom experience in physical education or related teaching roles
Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities in French or Spanish are a plus
Experience working with children of various age groups and with special needs or disabilities
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, PowerPoint, Excel for instructional purposes
Demonstrated leadership qualities and excellent organizational skills
Ability to manage time effectively in a dynamic educational environment
Knowledge of teaching strategies for diverse learners and experience with special education programs
Passion for promoting health, fitness, and personal development among students
Bilingual proficiency is highly desirable to support a diverse student body
