About Somerset Progressive School
Somerset Progressive School offers a calm, rural setting where pupils aged 7-19 with SEND, including Autism, receive personalised education and 1:1 or small group support.
In 2019, we proudly won the Positive Behaviour Support Award--recognising our commitment to creating a supportive, uplifting environment for every learner.
Key Responsibilities
Set up the classroom and PE spaces to create a positive learning environment
Plan and teach lessons that suit all ability levels
Supervise PE lessons, both indoors and outdoors
Encourage students to try new sports and stay active
Support students with their PE, based on their age and level
Help keep students safe and support their well-being
Requirements
A strong commitment to supporting students with SEND
At least 2 years of experience working in a SEND setting or similar provision
QTS or QTLS is a bonus but not essential
