The Youth Education Service are working in partnership with a mainstream secondary school in Wavertree who are recruiting a
PE Teacher to start in September 2025
. The school are seeking to appoint a dedicated and hardworking PE Teacher who has experience delivering a range of Sports/PE lessons to a high standard. They are located in Wavertree with good access to the city centre and local train stations. The academy hosts excellent facilities and a broad curriculum. a wealth of additional space and facilities to expand and broaden the curriculum offer to include science teaching in a specialist lab, an IT suite, a gymnasium, specialist Food Technology and Art and Design rooms, a family dining area, as well as dedicated therapy rooms.

The successful candidate will:
Lead multi sport sessions to small classes of children age 11-16
Promote pupils' independence, self-esteem and social inclusion
Give support to pupils, individually or in groups, so they can access the curriculum, take part in learning, and experience a sense of achievement
You must have:
QTS
Experience working in a coaching environment or other educational setting
Experience supporting children / young people
Experience planning and delivering Sport sessions
Good literacy and numeracy skills
Good organisational skills
Ability to build effective working relationships with pupils and adults
Skills and expertise in understanding the needs of all pupils
Knowledge of how to help adapt and deliver support to meet individual needs
Excellent verbal communication skills
Active listening skills
The ability to remain calm in stressful situations
Knowledge of guidance and requirements around safeguarding children
