Edinburgh Futures Institute (EFI) at the University of Edinburgh is looking for an enthusiastic Peer Support Student Coordinator.
The Opportunity:
Edinburgh Futures Institute (EFI) at the University of Edinburgh is looking for a Peer Support Student Coordinator. EFI offers 12 MSc programmes and one undergraduate programme. Our student population is diverse, international and both online and campus based. In this role, you will use your comprehensive knowledge of the University of Edinburgh, gained as a current student within the University, and an understanding of the needs of on-campus and online students, to be actively involved in Peer Support Project activities in EFI. You will also provide administrative support for the day-to-day running of student support schemes, including coordination of peer support volunteers.
This post is a designated Student Employment post available for 12 months from January 2026.
Your skills and attributes for success:
Matriculated as a current student at the University of Edinburgh
Working knowledge of relevant systems, equipment, processes and procedures including standard software packages and possibly some knowledge of non-standard software, and a willingness to learn new skills as required and undertake appropriate training.
Excellent written and oral communication skills; good numeracy and literacy skills, and first-rate teamworking skills.
A clear understanding of confidentiality and an ability to deal appropriately with sensitive information
A comprehensive knowledge of the University of Edinburgh gained as a current student within the University and an understanding of the diverse profile of its students (especially online distance learning students)
