Ready to use your lived experience to support others on their recovery journey?

We're looking for someone who has personal lived experience of mental health challenges and recovery, and who is ready to use that experience to support others. You'll have experience offering one-to-one support or facilitating groups and be confident using your story to inspire hope and connection. You'll be comfortable working in community settings, using digital tools like Microsoft Office and Teams, and keeping accurate records.

You'll understand the importance of safeguarding, confidentiality, and person-centred practice, and be committed to inclusive, recovery-focused support. A DBS check is required for this role.

Provide structured peer support, information, and guidance to individuals across Kensington, Chelsea and Westminster who are living with common and complex mental health needs. Facilitate one-to-one sessions, peer support groups, and mental health/ wellbeing workshops that promote recovery, resilience, and connection. Share your lived experience of mental health challenges and recovery to build trust, inspire hope, and model responsibility. Work collaboratively with NHS Talking Therapies, Community Living Well, and other statutory and voluntary services to ensure coordinated, person-centred support. Support individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds and age groups, using interpreters when needed to ensure inclusive and accessible support. Maintain accurate records, follow safeguarding procedures, and contribute to a safe, welcoming, and recovery-focused environment.

You are:

Someone with personal lived experience of mental health challenges and recovery, and confident in sharing your journey to support others. Skilled in building trusting relationships, using active listening and clear communication to connect with people from diverse backgrounds. Able to work collaboratively within a team and alongside external partners to provide coordinated support. Organised and able to manage your time effectively, keeping accurate records and following safeguarding procedures. Reflective and open to feedback, using supervision and training to grow in your role. Committed to inclusive, recovery-focused practice and passionate about empowering others to take control of their wellbeing.
