We are currently seeking an Administration Assistant to join one of our Pensions Administration teams on a Fixed Term contract.
Your role will be to provide administrative support to the Pensions Administration Team in line with Local Pensions Partnership Administration's standard practice, regulatory guidelines, and SLAs.
To ensure work is completed to the highest standards demonstrating accuracy and attention to detail, whilst providing good customer service.

What you will be doing:
- Own, maintain and action the team email inbox account & create new cases on UPM system, in a timely manner and within service level agreements.
- Logging emails and correspondence and contacting Clients and Members via email to acknowledge receipt and ensure all correspondence is recorded appropriately.
- Provide high quality written correspondence to members & Clients.
- Coordinate the collation, investigation and review of supporting documents.
- Support the wider team to administer the pensions administration process within agreed service standards.
- Take ownership for recognising & escalating any urgent correspondence where the member, client or LPP reputation is at risk of detriment, to the team leader.
- Ad hoc project work when instructed by team leader or operations manager.
- Be forthcoming with suggestions to improve management of correspondence.
- Continually develop personal knowledge and skill, to provide excellent customer service and build understanding of all matters across the pensions administration business.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships within LPPA teams to ensure appropriate response and actions are taken on a timely basis and that there is a continual improvement and learning programme.
What we need from you:
- A proactive, self-motivated team player who can work independently with minimal supervision, manage a high personal workload with multiple deadlines and continually strive for improvements in quality, efficiency and presentation.
- Previous experience in an administration environment.
- Impeccable customer service skills, working as an empathetic and adaptable team member.
- Strong communication skills and excellent written grammar.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Experience of working in a fast paced/high volume environment.
- Highly organised with a keen eye for detail.
- IT Skills (including MS Office; Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Experience working within the financial sector is desirable but not essential.
Qualifications
- 5 GCSEs or equivalent including Maths and English at Grade C or above.
