About East Riding Pension Fund
East Riding Pension Fund, based in Goole, is responsible for administering the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) on behalf of more than 340 employers and supporting over 130,000 members. Our recently restructured administration team, of 75 dedicated professionals, is committed to delivering an outstanding pensions administration service to members, employers and other stakeholders and are constantly striving to improve and innovate our service delivery.
The Role
An exciting opportunity has become available for the position of Pensions Officer within our newly created Technical & Training Team.

In this role, you will assist the Senior Pensions Officer in providing technical expertise and training within the pension administration service. You will ensure compliance with LGPS regulations and legislation, accuracy of benefit calculations, and deliver ongoing staff training to support the section.
Key Responsibilities
You will be responsible for upholding excellent pensions services within the Technical & Training Team including:

  • Interpreting and applying LGPS regulations and relevant legislation.
  • Developing and delivering induction and ongoing training for staff.
  • Maintaining compliance with statutory requirements and GDPR.
  • Conducting manual testing of benefit calculations for accuracy.
  • Monitoring and improving data quality and administrative processes.
  • Providing technical support for system updates and process changes.
  • Compiling and reporting KPIs, performance data, and regulatory breaches.
  • Responding to customer and stakeholder enquiries professionally.
  • Updating ERPF website content as required.
  • Undertaking other duties appropriate to the grade and level of responsibility.
