People Advisor (Full-time, Permanent)



Location: St Albans




Do you have proven experience in a People/HR advisory role or similar?


Do you have strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice?


Do you have the ability to provide expert advice supporting managers and employees?


Do you have demonstrated experience in managing and maintaining internal communication channels, including intranet content, ensuring timely and engaging updates for staff?

The role



Work in close partnership with the Head of People and Culture to implement the People Strategy, deliver key projects, and ensure HR initiatives are fully aligned with business objectives Support the Head of People and Culture in driving continuous improvement, strengthening our culture and values, and supporting talent retention across the organisation Provide expert advice and guidance on all aspects of the employee lifecycle, enabling managers and employees to create a positive, compliant, and high-performing workplace Play a key role in implementing HR policies, managing employee relations, and supporting strategic people initiatives that contribute to organisational success Lead the development and delivery of enhancements to HR processes, ensuring efficiency and best practice.

Key facts:



Hybrid-working pattern:

Home working blended with at least 1 day per week working at the NPA'S Head Office, just outside of London.

The candidate




Your key attributes:

Proven experience in a People/HR advisory role or similar Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice Proven ability to coordinate and promote staff benefits programs and lead on planning and delivery of staff engagement events to enhance employee experience Drive continuous improvement of HR processes and systems Promote a culture of inclusion, engagement, and wellbeing across the organisation Excellent communication skills, both written & verbal, and skilled at adjusting communication style to suit audience Ability to build strong relationships and influence stakeholders Strong organisational skills and attention to detail Proficient maintaining an HR/People system, and extracting data from such systems Proactive and solution-focused mindset Significant & demonstrable experience of successfully managing expectations and prioritising own workload often to tight deadlines.
