People and Culture Officer

to join our team based in

Cheadle.

The role will be required you to be in office full time for

Monday to Friday.

You will join us on a full-time basis as part of an initial 1-year term. In return, you will receive a

24,225 to 32,775 per annum.

Human Appeal is a faith-based charity that aims to abolish poverty by providing humanitarian aid, sustainable development programs and championing advocacy for our beneficiaries worldwide.


As

People and Culture Officer,

the successful candidate will support effective front line service delivery within the UK People Services and when requested by People and Culture Manager and/or Director support our global and our country offices.


The P&C Officer will monitor adherence to organisational policies, such as timekeeping, by using the People CRM system to compile lateness reports to identify issues to be tackled to improve HAs performance and efficiency.


The P&C Officer will maintain up to date records, including pre-employment screening, referencing and employment contracts, on in-house People system and Personnel Files, to meet audit requirements for CHS and Investors in People.


The P&C Officer will oversee the administration of HAs monthly payroll and pension contributions, ensuring that all staff are paid correctly and on time. The P&C Officer will support the P&C team on relevant ad-hoc administrative tasks and with the development and implementation of projects to ensure the delivery of P&C strategy and the development of the P&C function globally in line with HAs continual growth.

Key duties and responsibilities of the

People and Culture Officer:

Complete assigned projects in a timely manner and according to best practice in line with Human Appeal values, health and safety, legislation and compliance Maintain up to date records on in-house PEOPLE system and personnel files to audit standards Oversee the administration of HAs monthly payroll and pension contributions, ensuring utmost accuracy and that all payments are delivered on time Monitor organisational performance and adherence to policies by preparing reports on data such as lateness so that issues can be identified and improved Complete pre-employment screening checks (Thomas Reuters) and referencing before new staff are hired Ensure all employment contracts are kept up to date and in-line with legislation Support the wider P+C department on relevant administrative tasks

What were looking for in

People and Culture Officer:

1 or 2 years experience in a similar role. Graduate In HR and working towards CIPD qualification Excellent written and spoken English additional language would be a bonus Experience in People HR and similar software would be desirable Passion to make a difference This would be an ideal role for a

Safeguarding bright futures for more than 22,000 vulnerable orphans in 9 countries. Our one-to-one sponsorship programme has a built-in school attendance requirement while covering the cost of food, housing, medical care, and learning materials. Pioneering technologically innovative infrastructure projects in Pakistan, like designing and building a 25-km embankment on the Chenab River in Pakistan. Protecting an entire community from being washed away, the embankment has held back the floods each year, including Pakistans worst flooding in a decade during its last monsoon season. Protecting the health of mothers and their children in war-torn Syria by running the only free maternity hospital in Idlib, Syria. By offering free medical care to vulnerable mothers and children, our staff at Al Imaan Hospital providing life-saving care to 100,000 patients every year. The farming project provides each farmer with 30-40 prime olive trees so they can establish a vibrant, sustainable crop that yields not just food but income for generations. Restoring safe and secure residential spaces in Syria, like the construction of a new town with 1,000 newly constructed homes in Al Zahoor.
