At Sheffield Forgemasters we have an exciting opportunity for a People & Culture Data Analyst to join our team.


Based at our 64-acre site, sitting in the heart of Sheffield, we are looking for People & Culture Data Analyst, for a 12 month fixed term contract.


As a People & Culture Data Analyst you will support the HR and wider business functions by collecting, validating, analysing, and reporting on workforce and operational data. This role will provide insights to improve decision-making, ensure accuracy of HRIS data, and contribute to the development of dashboards and reports that monitor key people and business performance metrics.

What you'll be doing:



Manage, analyse, and report on data from multiple sources, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance at every step driving smarter decisions. Producing regular and ad-hoc reports that support workforce planning, HR operations, and business strategy. Developing and enhancing KPI dashboards and visualisations using Power BI that bring performance trends to life for leaders and stakeholders. Supporting user acceptance testing (UAT) for new systems or workflow enhancements, documenting results and helping resolve issues. Complying with data governance, GDPR, and internal confidentiality standards. Partnering with the Service Hub Team to train new systems alongside technical experts. Contributing to process improvements that make our data and reporting more efficient, accurate, and user-friendly.

About You

:

Analytical and detail-driven with a strong training background. Confident using spreadsheets and reporting tools, with a keen eye for patterns and an ability to translate data into meaningful insights. Proven ability to work confidently with data sets and produce clear, accurate reports. Strong Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, and data validation). An understanding of HRIS or other business systems. Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and organisation. Strong verbal and written communication skills. A collaborative approach sharing knowledge and supporting team goals whilst still using your own initiative. A proactive mindset, always looking for ways to improve processes and learn new skills.

The Working Pattern




This is a FTC (12 month) full-time role working 37.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday. We offer flexibility in our start and finish times between 06:15 - 09:30 and 14:30 - 18:00.

Security




Successful candidates must undergo a criminal record check. Successful candidates must meet the security requirements before they can be appointed. People working with government / MOD assets must complete Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) checks.

These restrictions mean that factors such as your nationality, any nationalities you may have previously held, and your place of birth can restrict the roles you are eligible to perform within the organisation. Many roles also require higher levels of National Security Vetting where applicants must typically have 5 - 10 years of continuous residency in the UK depending on the vetting level required for the role, to allow for meaningful security vetting checks.
