Your opportunity
You will:
Act as a strategic partner to designated business units and provide professional HR guidance and support with the primary objective of adding value to the business
Deliver a proactive service to internal client groups in relation to all aspects of people delivery (Employee Relations, Policy guidance, Employee Engagement survey results, Talent Reviews, Succession Planning, Compensation etc.) in addition to BAU activities
Support, coach and guide managers with complex people related matters and case work, relating to individual issues such as talent and performance, probation, performance and absence. Advise upon associated policy and best practice approaches.
Provide proactive support on all Employee Relations matters (redundancies, resignations, terminations, disciplinaries, grievances, performance management), expertly guiding managers through the process
Use and analyse people data (e.g. absence management, turnover and performance) to make people recommendations to the business
Work alongside the Senior People partners in driving optimal organizational design for their aligned functions.
Demonstrate a high degree of business acumen, an understanding of industry trends and practices, and knowledge of the regulatory environment
Work in collaboration with the People SME teams including Reward, Talent Acquisition and Talent Development teams on compensation, recruitment and talent review processes
Develop and maintain relationships with the broader People department and internal stakeholders as necessary, including colleagues in the US and APAC
Proactively assist with projects and initiatives and continually look for process improvements
Carry out other duties as assigned

Must have skills
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field, or equivalent relevant work experience
CIPD qualified (or part qualified)
Prior experience working in a Generalist/Business partnering role within a HR/People team
Strong Employee Relations experience (redundancies, terminations, disciplinary, grievances, performance management)
A good understanding of UK employment law and HR policies, particularly employee relations and regulatory requirements
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills with the ability to communicate complex and/or sensitive information in a clear, concise, diplomatic and professional manger
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work well independently and balance multiple priorities simultaneously
Proficiency in HR systems and comfortable with data analysis and reporting
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information in a professional and appropriate manner
Nice to have skills
Experience in financial services or asset management
Experience working within a matrix organisation that has experienced a significant level of change
Experience working with EU or US offices, and an understanding of EU or US legislation
