About the Role
We are looking for a proactive and people-centric
People & Learning Advisor
to join our small, global, People& Culture team. This is a
generalist role with a strong focus on Learning & Development and Performance Management
, ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced SME environment and is excited about helping shape people and development initiatives.
You will lead on the end-to-end performance cycle, design and deliver engaging training sessions and maintain and shape our annual learning planner, own internship and early careers programs, and contribute to the onboarding experience for new hires.
We're a close-knit and collaborative team where everyone pitches in and supports each other to get the job done so as a generalist, you'll also provide support across recruitment, people projects, data reporting, and payroll as required.
You will also be a key advocate and role model of our ZILO DNA Character, Craftmanship and Creativity.
We work flexibly, but this role requires
3 days per week attendance at our Canary Wharf office
to support face-to-face training, inductions, and team collaboration. We're building a people-first culture and are looking for someone who brings energy, innovation, and a commitment to helping people thrive.

Key Responsibilities
Learning & Development
Design and deliver in-house training (e.g. onboarding, management essentials, soft skills).
Co-ordinate external training delivery and maintain development records.
Support People Leads with identifying learning needs and creating development plans and programmes.
Monitor and evaluate the impact of learning initiatives.
Champion a culture of continuous learning across teams.
Performance Management
Own the performance management process (Performance Excellence) including probation reviews, goal setting, and end of year reviews and related reporting.
Work with People Leads to ensure performance has a year round focus.
Review and refine performance frameworks and tools in collaboration with Director of People & Culture and ZILO leadership
Talent Development & Internships
Coordinate our intern and early careers programs including onboarding, mentoring, and progression tracking and feedback
Collaborate with universities and external partners to promote opportunities for individuals from diverse backgrounds
Support with internal succession planning
Onboarding & Induction
Plan and deliver induction sessions for new starters.
Ensure a smooth onboarding experience by coordinating with hiring managers and key stakeholders
Gather feedback and continuously improve our onboarding journey.
Generalist HR Support
Support day-to-day queries and advise employees in line with policy and best practice.
Collaborate on People & Culture projects including policy reviews, engagement surveys, and inclusion initiatives.
Assist with end-to-end recruitment processes.
Maintain and report on accurate data using our HRIS.
Support with ER casework, note-taking, and documentation when needed.
Support with monthly payroll when required
Requirements
Essential Skills & Experience
4 + years of demonstrable HR experience in a generalist or advisory role, ideally within an SME or scale-up.
Strong experience in delivering training and managing performance cycles.
Excellent communication and facilitation skills.
Strong problem-solving skills and some experience in managing HR projects.
Comfortable working autonomously in a small team and handling multiple priorities.
Confident using HRIS tools and data reporting with a focus on data quality and accuracy.
Excellent relationship building and stakeholder management skills.
Desirable
Bachelors degree in HR, CIPD Level 5 is preferred but not essential
Experience managing intern/graduate programs.
Passion for learning culture and development-focused People & Culture practices.
AI literacy or a desire to embrace AI initiatives within People & Culture
Experience using ATS (Workable) or HiBob (HRIS) would be advantageous
