To provide direction and advice to managers and staff, in relation to accessing specialist People support and advice when implementing the corporate objectives/plan. To provide consistent advice and guidance to managers in dealing with Workforce matters, including grievance, attendance, capability, disciplinary and resourcing issues. This includes supporting managers and involvement in investigations, preparation for and provision of advice on cases for hearings and participation in meetings, most of which will be of a sensitive and complex nature.



To coach managers to find solutions to the challenges and issues they are presenting for advice / discussion. To take a proactive role in advising and developing plans for managing and reducing absence within the Divisions to help achieve the organisations targets. Analysing reports, attending management meetings and giving advice to managers to address the issues. To participate in the implementation of people projects, as directed by the Assistant People & OD BP.



To be educated to degree level or have the equivalent knowledge obtained via experience gained in working in an operational People Role. To be CIPD qualified. To have a sound understanding of employment law, the statutory requirements and national guidance e.g. ACAS Codes of Practice and best practice in respect of workforce policies and procedures.
