The Third-Party Vendor Manager will be managing the day to day vendor management requirements for a number of suppliers across Nationwide's People Function helping to maintain our compliance against the Operational Vendor Management standards.
During this 12 month Fixed Term Contract, you will be accountable for the contract for our pre-employment screening provider, who provide a critical service to protect the interests of the Society when recruiting new workers and for internal movers into regulated roles.

What you'll be doing
Managing the day to day relationship with a number of suppliers across the People Function. Tracking performance through balanced scorecards and operational review meetings. Seeking service and financial recompense where performance does not meet the required standards.
Acting as the conduit between the 3rd party supplier and numerous internal stakeholders, influencing decisions where necessary.
The role's responsibilities will also include:
Operational responsibility and governance of a number of suppliers including the pre-employment screening regulated outsourcing contract. Ensuring all relevant information and data is gathered from and provided to suppliers in a timely manner and Nationwide's contractual obligations are achieved. For example, payment terms, SLA's, forecasting data
Driving innovation, improved performance and value for money, ensuring that the services provided to Nationwide are enhanced. Track spend and delivery of benefits against budget, ensuring all invoicing and purchase orders are accurate
Managing issues/risks and incidents through to resolution ensuring that sufficient evidence is available that the item has been appropriately resolved with appropriate internal reporting undertaken. Closely monitor all service anomalies to ensure appropriate communication, sign-off (if applicable) and governance in place
Ensuring Nationwide's pre-employment screening and pre-engagement vetting is in line with industry best practice and the risk exposure to Nationwide of employing a candidate with an undesirable background is minimised
Ensuring all auditing rights are adhered to, undertaking supplier audits, control testing on key areas of potential risk exposure and compliance sample checks
Ensuring sufficient levels of controls are in place in the 3rd party processes. Undertake onward reporting on findings to the Relationship Owner and the People Services Senior Management Team where appropriate.
About you
As a minimum requirement you'll:
Have experience of working in a HR environment
Have 3rd party Supplier Management experience
Have strong partnering skills with collaboration and experience of holding challenging conversations and influencing at all levels
Experience of working with third party suppliers and suppliers where you have a forged a successful working culture
Have experience of risk and controls
Experience of presenting to senior managers and stakeholders
Excellent attention to detail
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to partner key stakeholders and work collaboratively
Experience of working in a regulated environment
Have experience of delivering projects / initiatives
