People Technology Technical Product Manager

London, United Kingdom

Job Description

Company Description

Checkout.com is one of the most exciting fintechs in the world. Our mission is to enable businesses and their communities to thrive in the digital economy. We\'re the strategic payments partner for some of the best known fast-moving brands globally such as Wise, Hut Group, Sony Electronics, Homebase, Henkel, Klarna and many others. Purpose-built with performance and scalability in mind, our flexible cloud-based payments platform helps global enterprises launch new products and create experiences customers love. And it\'s not just what we build that makes us different. It\'s how.
We empower passionate problem-solvers to collaborate, innovate and do their best work. That\'s why we\'re on the Forbes Cloud 100 list and a Great Place to Work accredited company. And we\'re just getting started. We\'re building diverse and inclusive teams around the world - because that\'s how we create even better experiences for our merchants and our partners. And we need your help. Join us to build the digital economy of tomorrow.

The role
The People Technology is moving from a de-centralised model to a centralised one, where we can build by reducing complexity, at the same time that we deliver the right systems and processes for the different Human Resources areas.
There is a huge opportunity for you to help us define and mature our ways of working as a team and with our stakeholders - this is essentially a brand new function.
Hybrid Working Model: All of our offices globally are going 3 times per week onsite (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday). We\'ve worked towards enabling teams to work collaboratively in the same space, at the same time that we build globally and for scale. During your days at the office, we offer amazing snacks, breakfast and lunch options in all of our locations.
How you\'ll make an impact

  • Partner up with Tech leadership and People business stakeholders to effectively balance customer, technical, and product priorities, enabling the smooth delivery of our team\'s roadmap
  • Define product requirements and manage the product backlog, ensuring work is clearly defined and well understood by the team alongside the multi-year People Technology roadmap
  • Advise leadership on innovative solutions to deliver improved capabilities to the business
  • Manage People technology vendor relationships and contract negotiations
  • Support cross-functional teams in the design, development, and implementation of new People tools and enhancements to existing tools and processes
  • Foster an agile mindset, skillset, and toolset within the team. Partner closely with teams to facilitate adoption of agile processes and continuous improvement
  • Proactively identify and remove impediments, and prevent distractions that may hinder the team\'s ability to deliver high-quality products
  • Monitor delivery velocity, identify and address risks and blockers promptly, ensuring the resolution of any issues that may arise
  • Provide regular updates to stakeholders on product progress, timelines, and key milestones, ensuring alignment and transparency throughout the organisation.
  • Conduct user testing, gather feedback, and leverage insights to iterate on product designs and improve overall user experience.
  • Support delivery of communications and training to accompany new product launches or enhancements to our current People and HR Systems.
Qualifications

What we\'re looking for
  • Experience in implementing and managing HCM/HRIS and other systems across the employee lifecycle - such as L&D, Talent Acquisition, Service Delivery, and compensation management platforms.
  • Familiarity with compliance regulations and data privacy practices related to People and HR systems
  • Experience or strong interest in working with the People teams and HR related processes that get impacted by People tech tools and platforms.
  • Experience in product or program management, utilising agile methodologies within a technology environment.
  • Experience in dealing with complex information architecture and the ability to solve problems and make data-driven decisions.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
