This role will be based within HSE's Science Division (SD) in the spa town of Buxton, Derbyshire. Science Division is an internationally renowned scientific facility for health and safety, employing scientific, medical and technical specialists in a purpose-built laboratory at our 550-acre site.
The Performance Analyst is a role within the Performance & Support Team. The Performance & Support Team reflects the increased organisational focus on performance management and supports the Head of Business Performance, Planning and Portfolio Management in delivering planning, performance reporting, delivery forecasting and operational insight. Job description
Key Responsibilities
As a performance analyst you will be responsible for:
Data Acquisition and Consolidation: Building strong working relationships across Science Division, working with stakeholders to acquire data, consolidating and assuring returns
Power BI Development: Develop and maintain Science Division's Power Bi performance hub, creating automated dashboards and reports
Performance Pack Co-ordination: Co-ordinate the production of performance packs, including validating content, analysing data, visualising information, provide actionable insights that inform decisions.
Data Modelling and Visualisation: Produce data models and visualisations for new reports/ tools, working with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into data solutions

Essential skills and criteria
Excellent organisational and influencing skills with a track record of successfully responding to sudden and unexpected demands, reacting positively to change, a fast pace of work, tight deadlines and competing workstreams
Sound digital experience and capability of using digital desktop tools such as Microsoft Excel and Power BI to manipulate, analyse and present complex information
Experience analysing trends in performance data
Effective written communication skills, with the ability to communicate key messages clearly and succinctly to colleagues at all levels including senior leaders
