Role Responsibilities
Lead Performance and Research Systems - develop and implement performance and research management systems, for Children's and Adult Social Care Performance Reporting and Assurance. Deliver accurate and robust performance reporting. Provide assurance and challenge to Adult Social Care and Children's Social Care management teams, strategic support and advisory. Drive service improvement through data insights. Support policy development and strategic planning, benchmarking and best practice. Engage at local, regional and national levels to share best practices. Respond to new initiatives and ensure sector learning is embedded in MKCC. Partnership Development Build and maintain partnerships with statutory agencies, voluntary sector and businesses. System Management and Business Intelligence - lead system improvement projects, including testing and deployment. Oversee development of business intelligence tools for senior management. Inspection Readiness Lead on data preparation and delivery for OFSTED and CQC inspections.

Ideal Candidate
Degree-level education or equivalent in statistics, information management, or a related field. Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with developments in the field. Proven experience in high-level statistical analysis and performance reporting. Demonstrated ability to develop and implement performance and research systems. Experience working with Adult and Children's Social Care services. Familiarity with OFSTED and CQC inspection requirements and data preparation. Experience in project management, particularly in system upgrades and business intelligence development. Track record of working with external partners such as statutory agencies and the voluntary sector. Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills. Ability to write and present complex reports to a variety of audiences. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Practical knowledge of SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services). Experience with Power BI for data visualisation and reporting. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and challenge constructively. Ability to act as a "critical friend" to services, supporting improvement and innovation. Strong understanding of relevant legislation and national policy in social care and data management.

Our roles are either designated 'site based' or 'home based'. 'Site based' roles can include up to two days a week working from home whilst 'home based' roles are based at home four days a week. Of course, managers designate which category roles are in based on the needs of the service and the circumstances.
