This role sits in Route Services, a business area that has been created to supply services to the routes in the safest, most cost-efficient and effective way, enabling them to benefit from economies of scale and optimised national resources.

About the role (External)



Main responsibilities:




To create, develop and implement technical solutions in order to provide the quantitative and analytical basis for strategic management of performance improvement within Route Services. To provide the required data led reporting to support senior internal and external stakeholders in forming strategic decisions.

What will you be doing?



Conduct in-depth root cause analysis of performance data periodically as a basis for the development of process improvements and to measure the success of initiatives. Provide analysis, guidance, support and quantified progress reports on business improvement initiatives which will include the financial impact of changes in performance. Support the preparation of analysis for performance improvement business cases and risk assessments. Develop standards and tools for reporting of analysis and presentation of performance and business improvement data throughout the business and its supply chain. Support the Performance Analysis Manager in the delivery of performance information and analysis for carrying audiences and purposes. Assist in the identification and implementation of quality and efficiency improvement initiatives. To lead and advise stakeholders on Route Services performance, ensuring understanding of results and forecasts. Act as subject matter expert on performance practices. Conduct root cause analysis to drive improvements and track success. Provide expert analysis and quantified progress on initiatives, highlighting key issues and financial impacts. Identify and manage performance risks and ensure data quality through assurance processes. Develop standards, tools, and dashboards (using e.g., Excel and Power BI) to enhance reporting and enable self-service. Recommend improvements based on data insights.
