The Further Stages teacher is responsible for the planning and execution of performing arts training for our 14-17 year olds. This role requires a creative individual with a passion for the arts, who can effectively communicate with young people, and who can successfully manage a roomful of teenagers. The ideal candidate will have triple-threat training.
Duties
include
Planning and delivering performing arts classes that engage and challenge the group.
Collaborating with the Principal to plan and execute performances.
Maintaining a safe and encouraging environment.

Training or relevant experience in performing arts
Energetic and warm personality
Strong organisational skills
Creative ideas, self-motivation
Understanding and connection to this age group
DBS essential but can be arranged
First Aid certificate desirable but not essential
You will need your own speaker for any music played in the class, and arrange printing of script and lyrics (cost will be reimbursed)
A genuine passion for teaching - this is not a job you can just 'phone in'
This role presents an exciting opportunity for individuals looking to make a positive impact in the lives of young people, while developing their professional skills in an encouraging environment.
This is a weekly class which runs on Fridays 5-7:30pm, and which is paid at 27.00 per hour (810.00 per term). Travel can be negotiated in some circumstances. The position would ideally suit someone looking for an additional job alongside auditions or other work. If the candidate is unable to commit to every week, I'm happy to look at a job-share arrangement. Term starts on 12th Sept 2025.
