We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Performing Arts Coordinator to join our team. This role is pivotal in promoting and facilitating a vibrant performing arts programme that engages the community and nurtures talent. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organisational skills, creativity, and a strong background in the performing arts. This position requires collaboration with artists, educators, and community members to deliver high-quality performances and events.

Duties



Develop and implement engaging performing arts programmes for various age groups and skill levels. Coordinate rehearsals, performances, and events, ensuring all logistical aspects are managed effectively. Collaborate with local artists and organisations to foster partnerships and enhance community involvement. Manage budgets for events and programmes while ensuring financial accountability. Promote events through social media, newsletters, and community outreach to maximise attendance. Evaluate the success of programmes through feedback and assessments, making improvements as necessary. Assist in the recruitment and training of volunteers or interns to support performing arts initiatives. Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of trends in the performing arts sector to inform programme development.

Experience



Proven experience in coordinating events or programmes within the performing arts sector is highly desirable. Strong communication skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences effectively. Excellent organisational skills with a keen attention to detail. Experience in budget management and financial reporting is advantageous. A background in theatre, music, dance, or related fields is preferred. Proficiency in using social media platforms for promotional purposes is beneficial. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required by event schedules.
