Are you passionate about the performing arts and ready to play a key role behind the scenes? Kettlethorpe High School is a vibrant and inclusive maintained secondary school, is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Performing Arts Technician to support our thriving Performing Arts Faculty.
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where music, drama, and dance come to life on stage and in the classroom. You&ll be at the heart of our creative community, helping to deliver outstanding performances and enriching the learning experience for our students.
What You'll Do:

  • Provide technical and learning support across music, drama, and dance lessons.
  • Assist with sound and lighting design for school productions, concerts, and showcases.
  • Support the recording and editing of GCSE coursework and help students with music technology tools like Soundtrap and NoteFlight.
  • Maintain and repair a wide range of equipment - from drum kits to microphones - ensuring everything is performance-ready.
  • Help prepare for events by setting up PA systems, amps, and instruments, and occasionally support out-of-hours performances.
  • Keep our performing arts spaces safe, tidy, and inspiring for students and staff alike.
Bonus Skills:
If you can accompany students on piano, that's a fantastic plus - but not essential.
This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, creative environment and enjoys working with young people. Whether you're a seasoned technician or someone with a strong technical background and a love for the arts, we'd love to hear from you.
