Job Description

We're looking for a skilled, experienced dentist, either specialising in or holding extra qualifications for periodontal treatment and management. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of periodontal diseases and treatments, with the ability to provide exceptional patient care.

This role involves diagnosing and treating gum diseases, assisting with surgical procedures, and collaborating with other dental professionals to ensure comprehensive patient management.

Responsibilities

Conduct thorough examinations of patients' gums and supporting structures to diagnose periodontal conditions. Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs, including non-surgical and surgical interventions. Perform advanced procedures such as scaling and root planing, gum grafting, and support the placement of dental implants by our Implant Dentist. Utilise medical imaging techniques to assess periodontal health and treatment outcomes effectively. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and the importance of maintaining periodontal health. Collaborate with general dentists and other specialists to provide integrated care for patients. Stay updated on the latest advancements in periodontology through continuous education and training.

Experience

A degree in Dentistry followed by a recognised postgraduate qualification in Periodontics. Strong knowledge of human anatomy related to dental structures is essential. Experience with medical imaging technologies to enhance diagnostic capabilities is preferred. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex procedures clearly to patients. A commitment to providing high-quality patient care in a professional environment. We are currently looking for someone for one day a week at this site, however we may be able to offer a second day at another site for the correct candidate, so the ability to travel independently is definitely a positive for this.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 40,000.00-85,000.00 per year
