Supplementary Information

The post holder will work closely with the Assistant Director for the locality and colleagues in implementing services post contract award through to the recruitment and induction of new managers into post. They will also support existing services at other times of service need and may be requested by senior managers to respond swiftly to emerging concerns and management cover.

The post also supports our Business Development functions and People processes across the region from capture, preparation for prospective tender opportunities, bid and service model development and implementation of key processes/policy. The purpose of the post is to enable Barnardo's to mobilise work or respond to change, quickly and efficiently ensuring that good quality services are working to Barnardo's policy and commissioned requirements. This could be with a variety of staff groups, the mobilisation of a brand-new service or support to existing and established contracts. There may also be a requirement to monitor and support performance management and outcomes of services and contracts to ensure quality and compliance. This requires managers to be very flexible and adaptable in their approach whilst keeping high quality standards.

Whilst the full pay band and salary range is advertised, our approach to starting salaries is to appoint between the minimum to mid-point of the pay band - this ensures that pay steps are available to reward our colleagues annually based on their contribution to excellence and alignment to our values and behaviours.
