Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic

Peripatetic Piano Tutor

to join our growing music team, delivering high-quality piano lessons to children aged

5-11

in a primary school setting.

About the Role



Teach engaging one-to-one and small group piano lessons to beginner-level pupils. Introduce children to music reading and essential piano technique. Inspire pupils to develop a love of music while working towards

ABRSM piano exams

(Grades 1-3 and beyond). Encourage creativity, confidence, and enjoyment of music-making. Take part in

school music picture days

and prepare pupils for

termly recitals

.

About You



Skilled pianist with a strong knowledge of beginner repertoire and teaching methods. Experience teaching primary-aged children (5-11) in school or private settings. Patient, motivating, and able to adapt lessons to suit a range of learning styles. Knowledge of ABRSM exam requirements and preparation. Excellent communication and organisational skills. A strong commitment to

safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

, with an Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain).

This is a self-employed role.

Pay: 21.00 per hour
