Peripatetic Team Leader




Are you an experienced Registered Nurse or Senior Care Worker ready to take the next step in your career? An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Peripatetic Team Leader to support our 6 care homes in Highlands (Inverness, Daviot, Alness and Nairn).


This position allows you to bring your skills and experience to our diverse group of services where you will be responsible for supporting the Home Manager's in overseeing the effective day-to-day management of the care homes - where our residents wellbeing is at the heart of everything we do.


Salary: 40,859 per annum



Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Your Role and Responsibilities




Support and implement initiatives and strategies to promote continuous quality improvement and company values. Provide leadership and support to colleagues. Support homes in the region with team leader cover where required for 12-hour shifts over a 7-day period. Act as a mentor and support inductions for senior care workers and deputies as needed. Act on results of grading's and quality assurance results with the aim of meeting the service improvements and goals to ensure our residents receive personalised and compassionate care. Attend meetings and maintain strong relationships with both internal colleagues and external customers. Maintain skills and knowledge and ensure that care is delivered according to guidelines as you act as a role model for best practice ensuring positive outcomes for our residents.

What we are looking for




Currently hold SVQ Level 3 or above / equivalent in Health and Social Care and be registered as a supervisor with the SSSC or a relevant nursing qualification (RGN, RMN or RLDN) with current NMC registration. A valid driving licence and use of a personal vehicle for work-related travel is essential (paid milage in accordance with HMRC mileage rates). Understanding of regulatory frameworks and legislation with knowledge of Care Inspectorate and National Health & Social Care Standards. Experience of leading and inspiring a team is essential with the ability to coach / mentor others. Experience of working in a Health or Social Care setting with advanced clinical skills. Professional, compassionate and values driven - you'll pride yourself on your person-centred, thoughtful approach to care. Confident in the use of IT applications including MS Teams, Word and Excel packages. What's just as important is that you are organised, flexible in your approach and have great communication skills.
