Number of hours:

37 per week(flexibility is essential as evening and occasional weekend work will be required)

Remuneration:

26,526, rising to 27,852

Contract term:

Fixed Term Contract initially to 31/03/2025

Cardiff and The Vale of Glamorgan, hybrid Working Home and Office in location

Purpose:



The Programme Facilitator will work with and support the DAPP Manager in delivering a package of individual and group interventions to perpetrators of domestic abuse. The programme will integrate with local perpetrator services to provide step-up and step-down interventions. It may also be necessary in collaborative situations to work cross boundary with neighbouring local authority areas.

Responsibilities and Tasks:



To effectively deliver a package of individual and group interventions for perpetrators of domestic abuse, ensuring that the work you do is in line with the safety and quality guidelines dictated by both Respect and the Welsh Government.

Continually monitor and manage risk to victims of domestic abuse and their children.

Liaise with statutory and third sector agencies to ensure the safety of victims and children.

Ensure that service users understand that the community and DAPP will ensure that they are accountable for continued use of abusive behaviour towards others.

Attend safeguarding strategy meetings, core groups and conferences as part of the safeguarding plan.

Contribute to and engage with DAPP practice management, audit and quality assurance functions when required.

Respect and value the diversity of the community in which the DAPP works, providing a service that recognises the diverse needs of service users and their families.

Ensure own personal safety and welfare at all times.

Provide a single point of proactive and regular contact for a range of professionals involved in the service user's case.

Be flexible and willing to work in all types of environments.

Keep accurate and up to date records of all work undertaken with perpetrators and victims using a dedicated case management system.

Provide qualitative and quantitative data as required.

Keep up to date information regarding relevant services.

Assist in developing and maintaining effective working links and referral pathways with key partners and services including HMPPS, South Wales Police, Domestic Abuse Services and Social Services.

General Responsibilities:



Engage in monthly supervision sessions with line manager.

Attend clinical supervision meetings.

Attend and provide feedback to colleagues at cross-functional team meetings.

Remain up-to-date and compliant with all relevant legislation connected to your work, including organisational procedures, policies and professional codes of conduct and practice guidance, in order to uphold standards of best practice.

Be confident to evidence reflective practice in all aspects of work and share learning. ? Deal with general administrative tasks.

Work in accordance with SMT policies, procedures and code of conduct. ? Assist in the recruitment of staff and volunteers where requested.

Promote the work of SMT.

Take on additional tasks suitable to your skills and experience as required, this is a new post and may develop in its delivery, so flexibility is required.

Act with integrity and respect when interacting with service users, employees, agencies and individuals.

Competent in defensible decision making, recording and being held accountable

Show initiative in tackling issues within the service and in relation to other agencies.

Hold a full driving license, have access to a car and be able to travel across the area as required.

Partake in regular evening and occasional weekend work as required.
