Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Tutor to join our educational team in Macclesfield, Cheshire. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to helping students achieve their academic goals and develop a love for learning. This role involves working closely with students of various ages, providing tailored support in their studies, and fostering an inclusive and encouraging learning environment.

Duties

Provide one-on-one tutoring sessions in specific subjects or skills. Assess students' individual learning needs and develop personalised lesson plans. Monitor and evaluate student progress, adapting teaching methods as necessary. Foster a positive and supportive atmosphere that encourages student engagement and confidence. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and other educators regarding student progress and areas for improvement. Assist students with homework, projects, and exam preparation. Stay updated on educational best practices and curriculum changes.

Skills

Proven experience in tutoring or teaching, with a strong understanding of educational methodologies. Experience working with children, demonstrating patience and adaptability to different learning styles. Knowledge of special education practices is advantageous for supporting diverse learners. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey information to students and parents. Strong organisational skills to manage lesson plans, schedules, and student records efficiently. Be able to travel to Macclesfield or Wilmslow. Enhanced DBS check, proof of identity and references required.

Pay: 18.00-20.00 per hour
