Job purpose
The successful candidate will be working as part of a small friendly team. The overall purpose of the job is to provide high quality support and care to a gentleman in his family home; enabling him to retain a level of independence and to support his wellbeing, rights and choices.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
To maintain accurate records.
To help keep client safe, including seizure management.
To assist with mobility and transfers when necessary.
To assist with personal care.
Meal preparation and ensuring diet, nutrition and fluid needs are met.
Medication support.
To give support in order to access therapeutic, social and leisure activities.
To give emotional support.
To maintain client's privacy and confidentiality.
To demonstrate awareness/understanding of equal opportunities and behavioral, physical, social and welfare needs.
To ensure that reasonable care is taken for the health, safety and welfare of yourself and others and to comply with the policies and procedures relating to health and safety within the home.
To carry out any other duties which fall within the broad spirit, scope and purpose of this job description.

This post will require satisfactory clearance of a DBS check.
Knowledge of health, safety and hygiene standards

Summary terms and conditions
Hours, days and times of work: 24 hours per week and relief waking nights (by negotiation)
Pay rate: 13.50 per hour, 121.50 per Waking Night
Annual leave: The annual holiday entitlement for this position will be equivalent to the work normally done during 5.6 weeks (statutory entitlement).
Expenses: You will be reimbursed for prior agreed expenses incurred as part of the role.
Sick pay: I do not operate a private sick pay scheme but provided you meet the eligibility criteria, you may be entitled to Statutory Sick Pay (SSP).
Pension: I do not operate a private pension scheme but I will fulfil my statutory obligations via the NEST pension scheme.
