Personal Assistant 6 Month Fixed Term Contract

Birmingham, ENG, GB, United Kingdom

Job Description

About the role:

We have a great opportunity for a Personal Assistant to join our Housing Development and Regeneration team within the Real Estate Group as a Personal Assistant on a 6-month fixed-term contract.

In this role, you'll play a key part in supporting fee earners by delivering high-quality secretarial and administrative assistance that enables seamless legal service delivery to clients. You'll be actively involved in managing and coordinating the day-to-day workload of your fee earners, taking a proactive approach to ensure everything runs smoothly.

Responsible for delegating tasks to other support services, including document production, file management, and scanning/copying. You'll also take the initiative to understand client needs in depth, ensuring a consistently high standard of service for both fee earners and clients.

This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys being at the heart of a dynamic legal team.

About you:

We are seeking someone with strong IT skills, including advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and research tools, and the ability to quickly learn and navigate the systems used across the firm.

The role requires a confident and professional telephone manner, with the ability to handle routine client queries independently when fee earners are unavailable. Strong communication, organisational, and teamwork skills are essential, along with a high level of attention to detail.

The ideal candidate will be flexible, proactive, and dependable, with a practical approach to managing tasks. To this role you will bring the ability to stay calm under pressure, meet tight deadlines, prioritise effectively, and take initiative when needed to support the team.
