An intelligent, calm, quiet and relaxed, 13 year old boy, requires a Personal Assistant/Befriender. Our boy lives near Shotts.
He has many interests including arts & crafts, 3D printing, blender creation, making patterns, fixing things likes old phones, coding, enjoying his computer, and learning from You Tube. He enjoys shopping, swing parks, cycling and is open to new experiences with his PA.

The main aim of your role is to help with social skills, confidence and behaviour. Just now, he spends long hours in his room and is reluctant to go out with family. The family feel with the right support; he will try new things and be keen to go out enjoying his favourite activities. He is hoping to cycle without stabilizers soon, a task a PA can help with.
The role involves, prompting to go to the toilet, cleaning hands and general help to advise on keeping his room tidy, looking after his clothes etc. He likes to shop, so help with being independent when out and going on public transport too.
Experience is preferred, but not essential, as training will be provided.
For this role we are looking for a PA to be enthusiastic, encouraging him out into the community to join a group or enjoy an activity.
The most important qualities are an understanding of Autism with non-verbal communication and a patient, kind and friendly nature, with a desire to work within a caring role.
