Personal Assistant/ Buddy (bank)
Job Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen to work as a Personal Assistant/Buddy for a young man who has cerebral palsy, living in the Southwell, Nottinghamshire area.
We are seeking enthusiastic and flexible support workers to work on our team as bank staff to cover annual leave and long term sickness.This is 2-1 care.
Our client has a great sense of humour and would like you to share some of his interest in cars, motorbikes, Top Gear, engineering, wrestling, history, reading and car shows.
He enjoys listening to rock music and attending car shows, he loves to go out exploring new places, including the pub for a pint. He enjoys weekends away and holidays with his buddies.
Working Hours:
We have a variety of day shifts and sleep in. Day shifts 09.00am -20.:30pm.
The sleep in are 22.00-7:30am, with care hours the following morning 07:30am-10:00am. We currently require a minium of a weekly sleep in shift covering on bank.
This is a great opportunity to join a very friendly team, supporting a young adult and working with his therapists to increase his independence and quality of life.
Rates of pay:
14.70 per hour Monday to Friday, Bank Holiday 29.40
16.90 per hour Saturday and Sunday.
Sleep-in rate: (10pm to 7.30am) 109.89 per shift Monday to Friday,
114.89 per shift Saturday and Sunday.
An NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent is desirable, or a willingness to undertake the Care Certificate training. Full mandatory training will be provided.
