Seeking a PA to support a young girl who suffered a stroke in the womb and has right-sided hemiplegia and is registered blind, with various other conditions alongside this too.
Although the young girl has a lot of clinical needs she is an absolute ray of sunshine with a very cheeky personality and smile. She has no challenging behaviours, she just wants to enjoy life to the maximum.
Hours and rate of pay hours
16 - 21 hours.
15.50ph daytime and 16.50ph if covering a night.
2 days per week, currently Thursdays and Fridays but for the right candidate other days are available.
Would love someone flexible enough to cover sickness and holidays in the team.
7.30am-9.30am and 2pm-7.30/8pm
Bit of weekend work desirable but not expected.
School holidays we are very flexible on days and hours worked.

What you would be doing...
Seeking a dedicated and flexible Personal Care Assistant to provide support to the young girl in the family home and with going to school. This will be for two days a week on Mondays and Tuesdays (although for the right candidate we could be flexible on what days), night hours are available as are weekend hours which can be discussed at interview. The ideal candidate would have some care experience and enjoy working as part of a lovely team, being able to cover any sick or holiday leave.
Responsibilities
Support with mobility i.e.. Hoisting, and physical therapy exercises
Provide clinical support such as; peg feeding/flushing, suctioning, administering oxygen, operating Bi-Pap machine, SATs monitor and food pump
Maintain the communication/handover book. Writing clearly what care has been provided and noting any changes
Assist with dropping off and picking up from school via school transport.
Ensuring a good handover to teaching staff
Light cleaning duties to maintain a clean living space/bedroom
Required skills and experience
Good time keeping
Looking for flexibility, reliability and resilience from a candidate
Excellent communication skills
Clinical experience is desirable but not essential
Experience in oxygen / suctioning / peg feeding desirable but not essential as full training will be provided.
