Job Title: Personal Assistant to Company Director



Location: Canterbury (some travel within Kent required)



Hours: 25 hours per week (flexible - either 3 full days or 5 shorter days)



Rate of Pay: 14 per hour



Reports To: Company Director



Employment Type: Part-Time



Overview



We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Personal Assistant to provide comprehensive business and administrative support to the Company Director of a growing organisation based in Canterbury. This role will be primarily focused on business and operational support, with some personal diary management included to ensure the Director's schedule runs smoothly across both professional and personal commitments.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys a varied role, can work with discretion, and is comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities



Business Support



Manage the Director's business diary, scheduling meetings, calls, site visits, and events. Prepare and edit correspondence, reports, presentations, and business documentation. Monitor and manage emails, prioritising and drafting responses where appropriate. Act as a liaison between the Director and internal/external stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and follow-up. Coordinate travel, meeting logistics, and documentation required for business appointments. Track project deadlines, follow up on outstanding actions, and support day-to-day business operations. Assist with financial administration such as expenses, invoices, and budget tracking. Maintain confidential business records and filing systems. Conduct research and prepare summaries or briefing notes to assist decision-making.

Personal & Diary Management



Manage the Director's personal diary, including appointments, family events, and social engagements. Make personal travel and accommodation arrangements as required. Ensure seamless coordination between personal and business schedules. Handle personal errands or administrative tasks on an occasional basis, with professionalism and discretion.

Requirements



Previous experience as a Personal Assistant, Executive Assistant, or Office Manager supporting a senior leader. Excellent organisational and multitasking skills, with a strong attention to detail. Confident communicator with excellent written and verbal English. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and general digital tools. Able to handle confidential information with integrity. Professional, adaptable, and comfortable working independently. Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel occasionally within Kent.
