Role
We are looking for a number of Personal Assistants to work a variety of shifts throughout the week for our local Leicester client.

We are looking for reliable, dependable and knowledgeable candidates who have a good level of experience and knowledge in working with learning disability or autism.

The role is to support and work with 1 young person to access the community and enjoy the things he loves Dr Who, Marvel, Star Wars and Lego.

He will require some support with personal care but largely to develop independent skills and support to access the local community.

Current vacancies are:

Mondays 6.30am - 8:00 am term time only

Sunday 07:30am - 09:30am

Sunday 17:00pm - 20:00pm

July 2023 onwards:
Sundays 07:30am -15:00pm

There will be 8 hour shifts available in the Summer Holidays too.

Excellent rates of pay starting from \xc2\xa311.50 an hour with additional holiday pay.

Training is provided where needed.

Essential Criteria

• Experience working with children and young people in care or education.
• Good experience of working with young people with a learning disability or autism
• Excellent communication skills
• Reliable & flexible

Duties and responsibilities

Skills and experience
Essential Criteria

• Candidates must be over 18
• Excellent communication skills
• Basic numeracy and literacy skills (grade 4 and above)
• Experience working with children and young people in care or education.
• Reliable & flexible

Preferable Criteria

• Experience working with children and young people with disabilities.
• Good sense of humor
• Ability to work on initiative and as part of a team with another staff member.
• Driving licence and own car.

Location
The location is near Fosse Park in LE3.
