Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant on Bank to provide essential support to an individual in his own home. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a good command of English, and the ability to follow care plans effectively. This role requires a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for the individual, ensuring his comfort and well-being.

Duties

Assist the individual with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support the individual in following his personalised care plan to meet specific needs. Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the individual's mental well-being. Help with meal preparation and ensure proper nutrition. Administer medication and oxygen as prescribed and monitor health conditions. Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in the individual's conditions. Drive/accompany the individual to appointments or social activities as required, ensuring safe transportation. Utilise IT skills for documentation and communication purposes.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a home care setting is preferred. A valid driving licence is advantageous. Familiarity with creating and following care plans is beneficial. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with the individual, family and healthcare professionals. Proficiency in English is required for clear understanding and documentation of care needs. IT skills for maintaining records and using relevant software applications. A caring attitude with a passion for helping others improve their quality of life.
