Job Overview

As a Personal Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with their daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being. This position requires a compassionate and dedicated individual who can provide both physical and emotional support to clients in care homes or home care settings. You will be responsible for following care plans and assisting clients with personal hygiene, mobility, and other daily tasks.

Duties

Assist clients with personal care tasks including bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support clients with mobility and transfers, ensuring their safety at all times. Follow individual care plans to meet the specific needs of each client. Provide companionship and engage clients in social activities to enhance their quality of life. Maintain accurate records of client progress and report any changes in condition to the supervising nurse or care manager. Assist with meal preparation and feeding as required. Ensure the living environment is clean, safe, and conducive to the client's well-being. Drive clients to appointments or social outings when necessary.

Skills

Proficient in English with strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members. Experience in home care or working in a care home setting is advantageous. Ability to understand and implement care plans tailored to individual needs. Basic IT skills for maintaining records and communicating with healthcare professionals. A valid driving licence. Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and their families. Pay: 12.85 per hour
