Personal Care Assistant
Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and energetic individual to work with a charming young adult with complex health needs that includes cerebral palsy and diabetes. The role requires working as part of a team in a fairly flexible manner.
It involves providing a safe, comfortable and fulfilling lifestyle whilst supporting them to access activities, occasionally within their own home but mostly in the wider community, such as swimming, adapted cycling, lots of outdoor walking in their attendant propelled wheelchair.
Role Requirements:
Full clean driving license
Non-smoker
Able to swim
Enjoys working as part of a team
Physical fitness - enough to cycle, swim and propel a wheelchair.
The successful applicant must enjoy spending time with others, being outdoors all year round and be physically fit enough to perform the physical aspects of the role.
Experience is preferred but not required as full training will be provided.
Post 1:
13 hours per week over 2 days with additional hours available to cover leave and sickness absence.
Post 2:
Zero hours contract to provide cover for holidays and sickness.
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent, Zero hours contract
Pay: 12.21 per hour
Expected hours: 1 - 13 per week
