We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide support with daily living & activities to a child with cerebral palsy.

Duties

Assist with personal hygiene, grooming, and dressing as per their individual care plans. Support with mobility and transfers, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times. Prepare meals and assist with feeding when necessary, adhering to any dietary requirements. Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients for any changes in health status. Maintain accurate records of care provided and communicate effectively with healthcare professionals and family members. Engage in social activities to promote mental well-being and companionship. Drive clients to appointments or social outings as required, ensuring their safe transport. Uphold the dignity and respect while providing personalised care tailored to their needs.

Experience

Previous experience in family home care setting is preferred. Strong communication skills in English are vital for effective interaction with clients and their families. Must have experience in seizures A valid driving licence is desirable for transporting when necessary. A caring attitude, patience, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team are essential qualities for this role.
