Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. This role is vital in ensuring the comfort and well-being of our clients, allowing them to maintain their independence in a their own homes. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a genuine desire to help others.

Duties

As a Personal Care Assistant, your responsibilities will include:

Assisting clients with personal hygiene, grooming, and dressing. Supporting clients with mobility and transfers, ensuring their safety at all times. Preparing meals and assisting with dietary needs as outlined in care plans. Administering medication as prescribed and monitoring health conditions. Engaging clients in social activities and providing companionship to enhance their quality of life. Maintaining accurate records of care provided and reporting any changes in client condition to the relevant healthcare professionals. Driving clients to appointments or social outings when necessary.

Experience

The successful candidate should ideally have:

Previous experience in home care or a care home environment. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with proficiency in English. Basic IT skills for documentation and communication purposes. A valid driving licence is essential.
