Want a different kind of care experience, with some flexibility around hours required? Want to build a person-centred relationship with me and my existing team?
I am a lady who is soon to be discharged from the community hospital and I am looking for a Personal Assistant to join my existing team to provide me with some person focussed care.
I live rurally in Berwickshire outside of Kelso and enjoy meeting friends for lunch, going to the theatre and cinema and holidays now and then. I am a wheelchair user, with a well-adapted house. Accommodation may be available if required.
Terms:
Hours per week: 12
Hours of work: mornings and evenings there can be some flexibility around the time of the visits which can be discussed with the employer
14.00 per hour
Paid annual leave entitlement of 5.6 weeks pro rata
Work place pension
Probationary period of 3 months
Main Tasks & Responsibilities
To support an active disabled adult to ensure their safety and well-being
To support with general care needs as required.
To maintain cleanliness and tidiness of the client's equipment and surroundings
To develop a positive relationship with the client.
To interact with the client and support them with activities they enjoy, in the home, but also in the local community including supporting them in their wheelchair
To accompany the client on short trips out of the house for appointments or social activities.

Skills and Experience

Moving and assisting experience with hoisting training
Awareness of type 2 diabetes and colitis conditions
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: 14.00 per hour
Expected hours: 12 per week
