Job Purpose and work duties
Support Worker is required to join a small team of workers to assist a fun-loving w/c dependent lady with various activities to enable her to maintain an independent fulfilling life to meet her chosen lifestyle.
Work Duties:
Domestic tasks e.g. laundry, housework and meal preparation. Shopping Outdoor walking/exercise leg exercised, walking with parallel bars and massage Taking me to appointments Assisting with leisure activities pushing the Wheelchair
Supporting with
Mobility, ensuring the employers safety Personal care Undertaking activities for employer Ensuring employers home is clean, hygienic, and safe
Other requirements
Working in a safe way and highlighting health and safety concerns Assisting with management of employer's health risks Establish and maintain effective communication Maintaining confidentiality Reliable and flexible To drive a manual car ( over 25 ) Friendly and sociable, likes being out and about. Very patient
Location
Within the employer's home
Hours and rate of pay
12.21 per hour One afternoon a week for 5 hours. weekend work plus cover for holiday
Requirements
Experience of providing care Consistency Motivated Organised Driver Good sense of humour Patience Ability to understand and deliver the needs of the employer Ability to undertake domestic activities Flexible, reliable, and honest Good general fitness An enhanced DBS check will be required
