Personal Care Assistant



Secure a Permanent Full-Time Role - Based in Llandudno



I'm an empowered woman and full-time wheelchair user living independently in Llandudno. I'm looking for a reliable, compassionate, easy-going, and emotionally mature person to join my small team of Personal Assistants.

This 1:1 role offers the chance to support me in my day-to-day life at home, helping uphold my independence This role comes with genuine responsibility, so it's essential you understand and appreciate the importance of the position. If you're someone who is conscientious, thoughtful, and brings a sense of fun and steady care to your work, you may be just who I'm looking for.

While extensive experience isn't required, having completed mandatory care training is definitely an advantage.

What matters most is your ability to quickly learn new routines and tasks--even if they seem complex at first--and to remain calm and open-minded when facing unfamiliar situations. A proactive attitude, strong problem-solving skills, and the confidence to use your own initiative are absolutely essential for this role.

I'm looking for someone to join my team of Personal Assistants, working 96 hours across 4 shifts every 28-day period. Shifts are 24 hours in length and require live-in support during that time.

The shifts are spaced throughout the four weeks and are not consecutive--this is not a four-day stretch.

Flexibility is key, as you'll also be asked to help cover any gaps in the rota due to annual leave or illness.



Comprehensive Daily Support Required



Due to a physical impairment, I require assistance with nearly every aspect of daily life. This includes personal care, domestic tasks, and social outings--whether that's accompanying me or driving.

Essentially, the kinds of things you do for yourself, I need my PA to do for me, or alongside me. This also includes additional routines associated with managing a muscle-wasting condition, which are part of my day-to-day life.

To succeed in this role, you'll need to bring the following qualities and capabilities:

A genuine commitment to a highly responsible position. This includes learning how to assist me physically, understanding the nature and limitations of my condition, and grasping routines that may seem complex at first. The ability to follow instructions closely andconfidently work using your own initiative. Quick to learn routines, while recognising that mastery takes time--and being open to adjusting and remembering as you go. Comfortable and caring around animals, particularly my dog, who will need your affection and attention. Calm, patient, flexible, and open-minded in your approach. Based locally to

, as training cannot be conducted on consecutive days. Preferably a

non-smoker

. Able and willing to complete an

Enhanced DBS check

. Fluent in spoken and written

English

for safety and effective communication. Eligible to work in the
